Beacon Status Award

The Recycling in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough (RECAP) Partnership has been granted Beacon Council Status for Waste and Recycling 2006/7.

Beacon status is awarded to those authorities that have shown innovation and achievement in particular fields. Beacon Authorities are required to share their best practice with other authorities.

The RECAP partnership will now share knowledge and information with other local authorities about waste management practices and recycling initiatives.
