Buckden Education Centre
Cambridgeshire actively support environmental education through activities at the Recycling and Education Centre at Buckden Landfill site and with the Cambridgeshire Recycling Buses.
The Recycling and Education Centre's aim is to encourage and teach sustainable living so that we can reduce the amount of damage to the environment now and in the future. The Wildlife Trust has developed a programme of environmental courses and is working in partnership with Huntingdonshire District Council to offer schools a day visit to learn more about recycling rubbish. There are complementary educational activities run by the District Council Officer at the schools if desired. The centre is funded using Landfill Tax Credit from Anti-Waste and East Waste administered by WREN.
To book a day visit contact the Wildlife Trust Education Team on 01480 811075 (there is a charge of £1.50 per student).
