Cambridge Sustainable City is Cambridge City Council's programme of working with partners and the community of Cambridge to improve the environment and promote more sustainable lifestyles.

Sustainable Girton Project
A local community group working to make the community more sustainable.

Recycle Now
The new National Campaign 'recycle now' was launched on 27th September 2004. General information about recycling and where to buy recycled goods can be found there.

Waste Watch
Provides all sorts of information on rubbish and promotes the use of the three "R's": reduce, reuse and recycle.

Green Peace
The site has information and opinions on a variety of environmental issues, government policies and green peace campaigns.

Friends of the Earth
The site provides information on national environmental policy including rubbish, gives advice on what you can do with rubbish and provides contacts on how you can get involved locally!

Ink Cartridges can be recycled at Household Waste Recycling Centres but alternatively see the link below.

Green Tech
Green Tech Recycling is a local based company able to recycle you cartridges. Please use the link to find out what types of cartridges they can recycle and how to use their scheme!

Association for Organics Recycling
The composting association provides information on a variety of aspects surrounding composting including standards being set by government to answering some common questions.

Encambs Keep Britain Tidy Campaign
This site provides information on their environmental campaigns and how you can get involved- including "Eco schools" for people involved in education.

Ways you can help your community and reduce your waste

Visit CCORRN - Cambridgeshire Community Reuse and Recycling Network. A network of groups who support their community and through their work also reduce waste. Through CCORRN you will find out how you can support these community groups by donating you unwanted items.

Reboot recycle and mend old computers for resale whilst offering trainees with Asperger's Syndrome real work experience and a salary.

OWL - Opportunities Without Limits
