RECAP Documents

There are four important RECAP Documents and you can review each of them here.

TAWS (Towards A Waste Strategy) published in March 2001 outlines the problems we face without a meaningful plan for dealing with waste and the targets set for us by the Government.

Why We Need A Plan was a leaflet and questionnaire also published in March 2001 designed to seek your views about what we should do with rubbish. It was your chance to have your say and directly influence local waste management strategy.

The Rubbish Consultation published in September 2001 summarised the feedback we received further to our consultation with you.

The We Now Have A Plan is a leaflet published in April 2002 outlining the plan that's been formulated to deal with the rubbish we all produce in our homes.

And finally, The Strategy for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough outlines the current and planned arrangements for waste collection, recycling, composting and other waste treatments for 2002 through to 2022.

The Strategy Document is currently being revised. An updated version will be available during Autumn 2005.
