Recycling Textiles

You can take clothes, towels, blankets, curtains or rugs to a recycling centre or recycling bank, regardless of their condition. Please put them in a carrier bag to keep them clean and dry. Shoes and trainers are accepted too. Tie them together or put pairs into bags before dropping them into the recycling banks.

Good quality items can be sold in the UK, or sent abroad where there is a need. Damaged or shabby items are made into rags for industrial use, or shredded to be used as furniture padding.

You can also take your unwanted textiles straight to your local charity shop.
