Recycling education


The Education Centre, based at Amey in Waterbeach is a brilliant resource to help schools and community groups to learn more about how to reduce, reuse and recycle and to see first hand what happens to your waste.

Visits to the Education Centre are completely free for schools, community groups and individuals.

On a trip to the Education Centre you will:

  • see how recycling is separated
  • take a tour of a landfill site
  • discover how we compost food and garden waste

The Education Centre has three qualified teaching staff and has been awarded the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge.

This is a national accreditation scheme which covers learning and safety in centres which provide educational services to schools.
