Recycling Rubbish - Materials: Timber
During 2005/6 Cambridgeshire and Peterborough recycled over 4,162 tonnes of timber!! It is important to recycle and compost this material. As with garden waste, wood is organic and biodegrable and therefore will produce methane gas if landfilled. This causes global warming and climate change.
What happens to my timber?
The timber is shredded or chipped and made into animal bedding, path covering and compost.
