The buses deliver hands-on, curriculum-linked learning covering the 4 Rs - Recycling, Repair, Re-use and Reduction - and broader environmental issues.

They are managed by trained teachers with many years' experience of delivering activities that are stimulating, motivating and suited to a range of abilities and learning styles. The bus activities are designed to deliver the skills that children need (sawing, drilling, hammering to name a few) and that teachers want, and meet the Doorways requirements of the Sustainable Schools Framework, as well as meeting the needs of a new creative curriculum. The ultimate aim is to create successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens, with a passion for protecting the planet.
